- Copy the 16-digit code (it starts with X) from your Gameplug order.
- Open the App Store and tap your photo, initials or My Account.
- Tap Redeem Code, then Enter Code Manually.
- Type the code and tap Redeem. On a Windows PC, use the Apple Music or Apple TV app instead.
What you need before you redeem
- The Apple Account that should get the money, signed in. The balance belongs to the account that redeems the code. Even in a Family Sharing group, other family members cannot spend it, so redeem on the account of the person who will use it.
- A card for your Apple Account's country or region. Apple cards can only be redeemed in the country or region they were bought for. A card bought for France, for example, cannot be redeemed in the App Store in the United States. The country of every card is in its product name and on its product page before you pay.
- Gift cards in your country. Apple does not offer gift cards in every country or region. Its payment methods page lists, country by country, whether your Apple Account balance can come from redeeming a card or only from adding funds. Depending on the country, the card is called an Apple Gift Card, an App Store Card or an App Store & iTunes Gift Card.
- A device or app that can redeem. An iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Vision Pro, or the Apple Music or Apple TV app on a Windows PC. Apple's current redemption steps do not include a website or Android.
- Possibly a payment method on file. Apple notes that some purchases might require a credit card on file, even when you pay with your Apple Account balance.
