To redeem a GOG code, go to gog.com/redeem, type the code, tick the "I'm not a robot" box and click Continue. GOG shows the game the code contains, and adds it to your account when you click Continue again. In GOG GALAXY, click the cogwheel icon at the top left, then Add games & friends and Redeem GOG code.
Below are the exact steps on the website and in GOG GALAXY, what to check first, how locale-restricted codes work, and what each message on the GOG redeem page means.
- Copy the GOG code from your Gameplug order.
- Open gog.com/redeem, or in GOG GALAXY click the cogwheel icon, then Add games & friends and Redeem GOG code.
- Type the code, tick "I'm not a robot" and click Continue.
- Sign in if asked, check the game shown and click Continue again.
What you need before you redeem
- A GOG account. GOG asks you to sign in before it adds the products in a code to your account. Check that you are signed in to the account that should own the game: each code can only be used once.
- A code made for GOG. A GOG code only works on GOG, and a key for Steam, Epic or another launcher will not redeem here. The platform is in every Gameplug product name.
- A code that is allowed in your country. Some GOG codes are locale-restricted, and GOG refuses them outside their region. The region of every product is in its name and on the product page.
- The base game, for DLC. A code for additional content needs the main game on the same GOG account.
