Waves VU Meter PC/MAC

Mix and track in your DAW with the industry's classic metering method to help you achieve optimal levels, plenty of headroom, and a clearer mix. Are your mixes too often muddled and overdriven, even if you keep a close eye on peak levels in your DAW? If so, you are probably not using the VU meter. While the peak meters in your DAW focus on the loudest moments in the audio, the volume meters average out many of the shorter peaks, simulating how our ears react to sound and giving you a more realistic idea of how changes in sound level are perceived. Volume meters have been the proven industry standard for decades across a variety of music genres and platforms, helping engineers set the right recording and mixing levels with plenty of headroom and a well-balanced gain structure. With unparalleled smoothness and perfect ballistic response comparable to the best hardware volume meters, the Waves VU Meter plugin helps you maintain proper gain for a clear and spacious mix. Load a Waves volume meter onto any or all tracks while recording to ensure recording levels aren't too high, or plug it into a master bus and attach it to the screen for a precise visual check of overall mix levels.
