The Land of Pain is a first-person Cosmic Horror adventure and the spiritual prequel to The Alien Cube.
Something strange appears in the woods. Rain pours, and darkness hangs in the air. Life as you know it is about to change forever.
In this Lovecraftian horror adventure, you'll have to survive in a huge and terrifying world dominated by an ancient and disturbing evil. Explore eerie locations, flee from an unrelenting enemy lurking in the shadows, solve puzzles, and uncover the mystery that's befallen this land.
YOU ARE UNARMED -- You have no weapons. Run, hide, and use the environment to stay alive.
HUGE MAP -- Explore abandoned buildings, caves, swamps, graveyards, and many other atmospheric locations.
IMMERSIVE VISUALS -- CryEngine-powered graphics, photogrammetry, and ambient sound design create a deeply oppressive and realistic world.
SOLVE & INTERACT -- Use objects, gather clues, and solve puzzles to uncover the truth behind the ancient mystery.
SHROUDED IN DARKNESS -- Your lantern lights the way, but beware: stepping out of the darkness may leave you more exposed... Quotes MULTIPLAYER.IT: "The Land of Pain is an interesting Italian title full of shivers and exploration."
CRYENGINE: "The Land of Pain is a beautiful example of what can be achieved with CryEngine by a single developer."
SHIRLEY CURRY: "Alessandro Guzzo, the developer, created the only horror game I've enjoyed and finished!!"
