Gameplay Mechanics: The Pathless is a third-person action-adventure game set in a vast, open world. Players assume the role of the Hunter, a master archer tasked with dispelling a dark curse that grips a mysterious island. The core gameplay loop revolves around fluid traversal and precise archery. The Hunter can glide across the landscape using a unique momentum-based system, chaining together dashes and shots to maintain speed. Aiming and shooting are integrated into this movement, allowing for dynamic combat and puzzle-solving.

World and Progression: The island is characterized by ancient ruins, dense forests, and mountainous regions, all discoverable without a traditional mini-map. Instead, a "spirit vision" mechanic highlights points of interest and environmental clues. Progression involves freeing corrupted Giant Spirits by defeating their cursed forms in boss battles. These encounters often require exploiting environmental elements and the Hunter's acrobatic abilities. Throughout the journey, players collect lightstones to activate obelisks, which are crucial for advancing the narrative and gaining access to new areas. An eagle companion assists the Hunter in traversing the environment and solving puzzles.
