1. Your right to deletion
You can ask Gameplug LLC ("Gameplug", "we", "us") to delete the personal data associated with your account at any time. This is your right to erasure under the EU/UK GDPR (Article 17), your right to delete under the California CCPA/CPRA, and equivalent rights under other US state privacy laws.
There are two ways to do it: delete your account yourself in seconds, or send us a request. Both are described below. If you signed in with Google, Facebook, Steam, Twitch, or another provider, see section 5 for how to also disconnect Gameplug from that provider.
2. Delete your account yourself (fastest)
If you can sign in, this takes under a minute and is effective immediately:
- Sign in and go to your Profile.
- Open the Privacy tab.
- Choose Delete Account and confirm with your password.
We recommend you first use Download My Data on the same screen to keep a copy of your account, order, and activity history — once deletion runs, that data is gone.
3. Request deletion by email
If you signed up with a social provider and never set a password, or you simply prefer to ask us, email [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject "Data deletion request".
To protect your account we may need to verify your identity before we act (for example, by confirming control of the account email). We will complete verified requests within 30 days and email you when it is done. There is no charge.
4. What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently anonymise or remove:
- Your name, email, username, phone number, date of birth, and postal address.
- Your sign-in history, device records, and IP-address associations.
- Your behavioural analytics, risk notes, and any fraud flags.
- Your marketing preferences and saved contact details.
Your account is deactivated and can no longer be used to sign in. Personal identifiers on past orders are stripped so the records can no longer be tied to you.
6. What we must keep, and why
A small set of records is retained after deletion because the law requires it or because we need it to defend against fraud and chargebacks. These are kept in a de-identified form where possible and are not used to contact or profile you:
- Invoices, order totals, and tax records — retained for the period required by accounting and tax law (typically up to 7–10 years).
- Delivered-key fingerprints and reveal-audit logs — retained to resolve "key not working / already used" disputes for the dispute window.
- Fraud and chargeback evidence — retained where there is an open or anticipated dispute, on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
Full detail is in our Privacy Notice (Retention and Your rights sections).
7. Questions or complaints
Email [email protected] or write to Gameplug LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
5. If you signed in with Google, Facebook, Steam, or Twitch
Deleting your Gameplug account removes the data we hold. To also revoke Gameplug's access on the provider's side, remove the app there:
We never receive your password from these providers, and we never post on your behalf.
