PC game keys are redeemed on the store or launcher the game belongs to. Here is how to tell which one your key is for, how to activate it on each PC platform, and what to check before you buy.
Every PC key is made for one platform: a Steam key only works on Steam, an Epic key only in the Epic Games Store, and so on. The platform is part of the product name and is shown on every product page, together with the official activation steps for that store.
When you activate a key, the game is added to your own account on that platform permanently. You download it through the platform's launcher, and updates arrive automatically.
Seconds after payment, a link to reveal your key is emailed to you, and the key is also saved under My Orders in your Gameplug account. Sign in to the platform account that should own the game, then follow the steps for your store.
In the Steam app, choose Games → Activate a Product on Steam…, paste the key and accept the Steam Subscriber Agreement. In a browser, use the Steam activation page. See our Steam games guide for regions and Steam Deck.
Sign in at the Epic redeem page, or in the Epic Games Launcher open your profile menu and choose Redeem Code. Paste the code and the game joins your Epic library.
Open the EA app and sign in, open the menu (☰) and choose Redeem Code, then enter your code. The game is added to your EA library.
Open Ubisoft Connect and sign in, select the key icon at the top right and choose Activate key, then enter your key.
Sign in at gog.com/redeem and enter the code. GOG games are DRM-free: you can download the installers from your library at any time.
Sign in at the Battle.net redeem page, or in the Battle.net app open the account menu and choose Redeem a Code.
Sign in at the Rockstar activation page and enter your code. The game is linked to your Rockstar Games account and installs through the Rockstar Games Launcher.
Windows keys for Microsoft Store games are redeemed at redeem.microsoft.com with the Microsoft account you use on your PC.
Many PC keys are GLOBAL and activate anywhere. Others are sold for a region — EU, US, LATAM and similar labels — and the platform only accepts them on accounts in that region. The region is shown in every product name; match it to your account before you buy, and do not use a VPN to get around a lock, as platform terms forbid it.
Some listings are accounts rather than keys: you receive login details for a separate account that already owns the game, which is not the same as owning it yourself and may come with conditions such as offline-only play. They are always marked "Account" — see our accounts page.
If a key will not activate, contact support with your order number. We check it, and confirmed-invalid keys are replaced or refunded under our refund policy.
On the platform named in the product: Steam, Epic Games Store, EA app, Ubisoft Connect, GOG, Battle.net, Rockstar or Microsoft Store. The product page shows the exact steps for that platform.
No. Each key only works on the platform it was made for. Check the platform in the product name before you buy.
Some do. GLOBAL keys work anywhere; keys marked EU, US or another region only activate on accounts in that region.
Usually within seconds of your payment being confirmed. A link to reveal your key is emailed to you, and the key is also saved under My Orders in your Gameplug account.
Check the minimum and recommended system requirements on the game's official store page before buying. Some games are Windows-only.
Make sure you are on the right platform, signed in to the right account, and that the region fits. If it still fails, contact Gameplug support with your order number — confirmed-invalid keys are replaced or refunded.
